Ski Season Starts Today!

It’s the day we’ve all been waiting for! It’s time to go skiing! I don’t know where I’m going to go first. Time to consult Dad!

An Innovation in Skiing!

So. We all know there have always been great things that have happened to skiing, like being in the olympics, and being a world recognized sport. But this could change it all. These skis have a 70% body camber style, and for the nose and tip, it has a 30% rocker style. The usual ski has about 90% camber, and 10% rocker. They have a wide range of skill and snow styles. They go for just powder to just groomed tracks. They also make these for beginners and all-time experts.  It is said to be extremely easy to use. I hope I’ll be able to use these next time I go skiing. One other thing they should consider is price. What if we want nicer skis for less money? That is something they should think about. These are innovative because you will be able to turn way faster, and also be able to carve way faster.

There are several styles and paint jobs of these.

This is the URL to get to the Skis.

Hurricane Sandy!

As we all know, Hurricane Sandy recently wreaked havoc on the East Coast, taking the lives of 113 people. Please, help out by texting REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 to the Hurricane Sandy relief program.

For my friends on the east coast, be careful.

Ski season is RIGHT around the corner! I am giving you a checklist of what you should do to get ready for the season.

  1. Make sure you have ski boots that fit, or you know a place to rent them. If you don’t have a supply store around you, use amazon or a sport supply website.
  2. Know what resort(s) you want to go to. It can be stressful to figure out what resort you want to ski at at the last minute. Use a ski review website.
  3. Make sure you have good snow clothing, casual and for skiing. If you don’t have casual clothes, get some from online or a local store. Get a place to stay if you don’t live near a resort.

Go Ski!

App Time!

Every once and a while, I will find an app that catches my eye. I will go here and review it and give it a rating.

Today, I found an app called “Rossignol Ski Pursuit”. It is an app you get for your smartphone for when you go skiing. It tracks how fast you go, how long the run is, How far you go up or down, and includes GPS functionality, so that you can see where you went on the run. It categorizes the runs by Day, Month, and “Seasons”, aka Years.

Here are a few screenshots.

Thanks for reading this. If I should do more, like and reblog these, and also comment about other apps I should review.

My Plan

In order to make this blog successful, I will go around Western America and Ski at the major and recognized Ski Resorts. I will post what the lines are like at certain times of the day, what the snow is like, and overall what I like and don’t like. This blog will only run through late fall to late winter, and start the next year.
